Principal's Mesage
Hello! My name is Teresa Van Epps, and I am absolutely thrilled to start this new adventure as the principal at Sunset Heights Elementary. With over 20 years of experience in education, I am passionate about fostering a vibrant and supportive school community. I hold a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Buena Vista University, a master’s in Instructional Technology from Coastal Carolina University, and a second master's in Educational Leadership from Drake University.
On a personal note, my family and I love spending time golfing, swimming, biking, and playing games together. We cherish these moments, especially with our daughter and son-in-law, who live in Ames with our two grandsons.
I am genuinely excited to get to know each of you and to work together to create an incredible learning environment for our students. Let's make this year fantastic!
